Ex-PASOK MP Being Investigated By Parliament's Source of Income Committee

Former PASOK MP Yiannis Anthopoulos is under review by the Parliament's Source of Income Committee, which is looking over the records of former politicians from 1974 to 2012.

It should be reminded that Anthopoulos served as deputy in the ministries of Education (2 terms) and National Economy (1 term).

The Committee has processed the source of income (known as the "pothen esches" -meaning: where did you get it-) statements for 455 politicians so far and has found that fewer than 10 cases need further checks, according to its chairman George Kalantzis.

In the next scheduled session, the Committee is expected to decide whether or not additional facts may justify the assets of Anthopoulos.

(Maybe the Committee should really review the information in hand a little bit further... HellasFrappe suspects that they may have -purposely- overlooked a few things, or are not really set on "cleaning up house". If they expect us to believe that after reviewing hundreds of cases, only ten did not add up... then we really pity them and at the same time justify all the voices that characterize the majority of politicians as crooks.)
